Integral Physical Education
IPE is an extracurricular activity for all primary students in 1st and 2nd grades that offers students a wide range of motor activities so as to expand their sensorial and motor capacities and contribute to better and integral development.
The contents of these activities follow a pedagogical coherence with the psycho-pedagogical criteria of physical education: those set in the primary education curriculum.
More specifically, they work in the following:
All these activities have been prepared according to the students’ maturity criteria so they can develop according to their abilities and possibilities.
It is also important to know that while working on a bloc of contents directly, there are also other blocs of activities involved. For example, when working on a mobility circuit, a competition format is used, so students are not only working on mobility but also speed indirectly.
However, with IPE we not only achieve their harmonic mobility development, we also train students in the values of respect, personal improvement, effort, fellowship, tolerance, etc., all of which are essential in sport and can also be used as educational tools for our students. A special emphasis is placed on habits such as punctuality, order, hygiene and taking care of personal belongings and material objects.
